The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.

Full-time and part-time hours available for nights only. Shift pattern is 19:15pm - 07:15am. Night enhancement of Β£1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of Β£2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Our service is home to 24 adults with physical disabilities, Fryers House is located in the market town of Romsey where we actively involve its service users in their local community and take part in a wide range of activities using local resources. This service is rated Good by CQC.

Care Assistant, Support Worker or similar experience is desirable but not essential. We offer an excellent training and induction programme for everyone!

As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire you will become part of a fantastic team. Every day is different, but here are just some of the duties you will do:

  • Assistance with daily life tasks including personal care, medication and mealtimes.
  • Escort and assist in and around the service, at external events and appointments.
  • Supporting our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
  • Ideally have personal care experience (not essential).
  • Be able to work under pressure and as a team.
  • Flexibility to work within rostered hours / prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required.
