Leonard Brothers Vets have an exciting new opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet looking to join a supportive practice, working in whatever way they feel comfortable. We would prefer an experienced vet with a surgery certificate or bias but are happy to consider any good candidate. You will have access to the expertise of experienced clinicians and multiple certificate holders.
We offer an excellent balance between consults and ops, with every vet having the opportunity to do both consults and surgeries in every shift worked. We offer 15‐minute consults and insert catch‐up slots in between to allow vets to catch‐up if a consult runs over, to write notes, make phone calls, or to discuss cases with other vets.
We are looking for a vet to work 27.5 hours a week made up of two 8.30‐6.30 shifts and one 8.30‐5.30 shift. Out‐of‐hours shifts are very limited in the evenings between 6:30 pm‐9 pm and at weekends 8:30am‐5pm.
Our practice and culture: Our modern practice is equipped with fantastic facilities and we have a brilliant team. We are a training practice providing our staff with ample support to ease into the team and gain experience. We have 14 vets, mostly working part‐time making use of the flexible rota pattern we offer, and an experienced nursing and support team. We have certificate holders in cardiology, medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, emergency and critical care and diploma holders in general anaesthesia so we can support you and develop your skills. Our team gets together for a meal and clinical discussion every three months. We have a good social life within the practice as well as great connections with local referral practices.
Our local area: Whitchurch is a lovely Market Town with good connections to A41 and A49, Chester, Shrewsbury, Nantwich and Crewe by road and a local train station. Whitchurch boasts a lovely high street with numerous independent shops and restaurants.
