About the role…
We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our fast-paced business. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of technical from auditing suppliers to allergen management & labelling.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a food-based sector; Retail or Manufacturing. With the ability to demonstrate knowledge of centralised distribution systems, current HACCP & quality procedures, advanced food hygiene and will know how to communicate detailed technical issues into concise actions.
What would my main responsibilities be?
- Managing all customer communication relating to nutrition and allergen information
- Responsible for technical data systems
- Working with the development team to ensure the products developed can be implemented in line with food safety guidelines
- Specification management
- Building strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure they meet our high standards & attending and signing off first production
- Supplier management and product quality compliance
- Ensuring the quality, safety and legality of all food products
- Drive ethical compliance of all supply partners
- Drive quality standards with suppliers
- Supplier auditing
- Own product quality and ongoing assessment
- Sign off retail packaging, ensuring it adheres to UK legislation
Candidate Requirements…
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail, manufacturing or food service role
- Passionate about food, sustainability and values customer needs
- Available to travel within the UK and Europe to meet with suppliers
