Leon Cycle is looking for a Corporate Accountant who will be responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions for Leon Cycle Europe and North America. They will work to help the Director of Finance and ops to implement a new ERP system in place and continue to ensure smooth accounting operations are completed within Leon Cycle. This role will be based in London but will be managing our USA and EU accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the Director of Finance and ops in London HQ
- Assist in preparing invoices to customers
- Review expense reports and ensure costs and ITCs are properly allocated
- Perform bank runs if necessary
- Perform bank account, inventory, AR, and AP reconciliations and identify discrepancies
- Monitor and track prepaid and fixed assets and enter monthly journal entries
- Business partner with sales and operations on sales revenue tracking, expense tracking and retail store financial operations
- Ensure revenue and costs are properly allocated to the sales channels and product lines
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, and Statement of Cash Flow for the senior management team
- Assist in filing provincial taxes including but not limited to State and Local Taxes
- Assist in filing T2s and T4s
- Identify areas for improvement and help implement best practices
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Assist in ERP implementation and automation projects
- Work closely with our Local Accountants for all accounting matters.
Understanding USA accounting procedures and US GAAP knowledge is required.
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years’ relevant experience; preferably in a small to mid size start up with high growth rate
- Solid knowledge of American income tax and State and Local Taxes rules
- CPA qualifications completed or currently undertaking preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to details
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to tackle other finance tasks as needed
