A global leader in cutting edge life science instruments. We're seeking a customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support advanced cutting edge Life Science Instrumentation. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of systems across the UK.
Your responsibilities:
- You will be the technical interface between our customers and our internal development team.
- You will ensure that our innovative life science systems are used optimally and continuously improved.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and system checks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site.
- Install and upgrade equipment, and train customers on usage.
- Deliver timely service to minimise downtime.
- Complete service reports and share customer feedback internally.
Requirements:
- You enjoy solving technical challenges and working closely with customers and colleagues.
- A degree in Engineering or a comparable qualification.
- 3+ years of experience in a related field or in-house service required.
- Fluent English is required. Additional European languages are an advantage.
- Experience in a life sciences work environment.
- Willingness to travel more than 60% of the time.
- Must have a UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with customers.
- Team spirit, initiative, and a solution-oriented approach to work.
