We are seeking a technically proficient and customer-focused Presales Technical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the technical bridge between our sales team and customers, providing expert guidance on Lead-acid and Lithium battery solutions for Telecom, UPS, and Energy Storage applications. You will be responsible for solution sizing, tender preparation, and supporting the full presales cycle to drive successful project acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Presales Technical Support
    • Provide expert technical consultation and solution sizing for Lead-acid and Lithium battery products based on customer requirements.
    • Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
    • Collaborate closely with the sales team to design tailored solutions that meet client needs and differentiate our offerings.
    • Conduct technical training sessions for customers and internal stakeholders on product features, applications, and best practices.
  • Tender & Bid Management
    • Lead the end-to-end tender preparation process, including reviewing technical specifications, preparing proposals, and ensuring timely submission.
    • Analyse tender requirements and develop compliant technical solutions aligned with scope of work.
    • Support bid strategy development, including risk assessment, competitive positioning, and value proposition articulation.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical documentation, compliance certificates, and solution descriptions.
  • Project Technical Coordination
    • Oversee technical aspects of awarded projects to ensure smooth handover from presales to delivery teams.
    • Conduct pre-bid site surveys and attend project meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations.
    • Track project milestones and maintain clear communication channels between customers, sales, and operations teams.
    • Maintain and update technical documentation, product brochures, and solution libraries.
  • Administrative & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate project records, opportunity tracking, and presales activity reports.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives for presales processes and documentation standards.

Qualification Requirements

  • Education
    • Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years in presales, technical sales, or solutions engineering roles. Experience in Telecom, UPS, or Energy Storage industries is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
  • Languages
    • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (written and verbal).
  • Competencies
    • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Work Style
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
  • Travel
    • Willingness to travel on short notice as required.
