Job Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Optometrist to join a well-established and supportive team covering Surrey and surrounding areas. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality patient care with longer appointment times, advanced equipment, and genuine clinical autonomy. With flexibility around working days and no weekend commitments, this is an ideal opportunity for an Optometrist seeking strong work-life balance alongside a rewarding clinical role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for patients in their own homes
- Manage approximately 6-7 patient appointments per day
- Deliver exceptional patient-centred care with longer 1-hour appointments
- Build strong relationships with patients and carers
- Utilise advanced equipment including digital fundus cameras, mobile slit lamps, I-care tonometers, and digital record systems
- Make informed autonomous clinical decisions with support readily available from senior Optometrists
- Maintain accurate digital patient records
- Ensure high clinical and professional standards are consistently delivered
Team Development:
- Work collaboratively with a highly experienced clinical support team
- Participate in ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities
- Receive support towards College of Optometrists Higher Qualifications
- Contribute positively to the wider team culture and patient experience
About You:
- GOC registered Optometrist
- Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
- Full UK driving licence required
- Strong clinical decision-making ability
