The role involves delivering high-quality eye care and supporting extended NHS services, including the treatment and monitoring of minor eye conditions. You will work closely with the wider optical team to ensure an outstanding patient experience at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and patient screenings
- Deliver high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
- Support the treatment and monitoring of minor eye conditions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Work collaboratively with the Optical Manager and wider team
- Support the delivery of extended and developing patient services
- Ensure all professional and regulatory standards are met
Team Development:
- Coach, support and help train the wider optical team
- Assist in maintaining high clinical and operational standards
- Contribute towards developing new patient services
- Work within a collaborative and supportive team culture
About You:
- Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
- Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months
- Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to CPD and continuous professional development
