We believe in the power of populist creativity to help brands grow and have done so for some of the world’s most iconic brands including McDonald’s & Kellogg’s. We also believe in the power of a strong culture that puts people and creativity at the heart of everything we do. Our guiding principles are simple: be open, be generous, be curious.
We pride ourselves on a genuinely friendly and informal style where everyone’s invited. The happiest people and most exciting places are also the most creative in our industry, and Leo Burnett has both of these, alongside a real passion for great ideas. Together, this makes it an outstanding agency for people to ply their craft. Leo Burnett London has won a lot of awards – we regularly sit at the top of the tables for creative awards both in the UK and globally. We are a truly integrated creative agency and strongly believe that a great idea can live anywhere.
We’re looking for a highly motivated, organised and creative Social Media and Community Manager to be the voice, ears and brain between our brands and their communities. This role is deeply rooted in understanding the people and fandoms where our brands can thrive. From managing comments and DMs with care and personality, to proactively engaging with creators, partners and cultural communities beyond our own channels, you’ll help grow and sustain vibrant, engaged communities where our brands feel relevant, human and present.
Responsibilities:
- Manage comments and DMs across our own channels with the right tone of voice and sense of brand. Build meaningful interactions, not just replies.
- Join and spark conversations beyond our owned channels with partners, creators, cultural accounts and relevant audiences to build brand presence in wider communities.
- Capture what’s happening across social - audience sentiment, cultural moments, competitor activity - and feed insights back into reporting, creative and strategy.
- Keep a close eye on platform trends, community behaviour and emerging features to identify opportunities for engagement and reactive content.
- Partner with insights and strategy teams to report on performance, learnings and opportunities for growth.
- Manage day-to-day content calendars across platforms, ensuring timely posting and alignment with brand goals.
- Write clear, concise and engaging copy tailored to each platform and audience.
- Work collaboratively with creative, strategy and account teams to ensure consistency across content, tone and visual identity.
What Skills We’re After:
- Community-first mindset: You understand that community management is more than moderation. It’s about building credibility and connection in culture.
- Strong ability to write compelling, brand-right copy that feels native to each platform.
- Skilled at balancing community interactions, scheduling, and spotting relevant moments in real-time.
- Deep understanding of platform cultures, trends, and audience dynamics. You’re naturally online and part of the conversation.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with creatives, strategists and client teams to bring ideas to life.
- You’re plugged into what’s happening culturally and know how to translate that into meaningful brand action.
