Our London office is looking for a driven and commercially astute professional with around two years' experience in sales, ideally having started in compliance roles or BD roles in hedge funds or private equity. The candidate should be a self-starter and growth-focused with a strong understanding of technology in compliance or more generally in the financial industry. You will work closely with Marketing and Product Management to ensure a joined-up commercial approach.
The package includes a competitive base salary (depending on experience) plus commissions. After a qualifying period, there is an opportunity to benefit from group equity. The chosen candidate will be prospecting clients across multiple jurisdictions, predominantly focusing on the UK and US, and assist the CEO and Sales colleagues. You will help own the full sales cycle, creating leads, following up on existing relationships, and closing sales.
Beyond this, you will provide feedback to the business, working closely with the Product Management team to translate market needs into platform enhancements, and with Marketing to inform and sharpen campaigns with frontline insight. Leo RegTech Limited offers compliance solutions via our regulatory technology platform, Leo. Therefore, the applicant will need to have an active interest in software and technology solutions, as well as the desire to work at a fast-paced RegTech company. The role has the potential to develop into a full Business Development (BD) position for the right candidate.
The Role:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present formally to senior stakeholders.
- Very strong organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- An entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-driven attitude with the determination to handle all aspects of a task.
- An inquisitive nature with a high level of attention to detail and strong problem-analysis abilities.
- A collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working well alone and as part of a cross-functional team.
- A pragmatic and common-sense approach to solving problems.
- The ability to bridge commercial and technical conversations effectively.
To join our team, you will have the following attributes:
- Around 2 years of proven experience in a sales or consulting role within the financial services, regulatory compliance, or B2B SaaS/RegTech industry.
- Demonstrable track record of working with targets in a performance-measured environment.
- At least a 2.1 in a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong IT proficiency, including CRM software (HubSpot) and an active interest in technology solutions.
- Experience working alongside or providing input to marketing or product functions is a notable advantage.
- A willingness and desire to assume responsibility early in a flat, meritocratic structure.
