Key Responsibilities 1. Manage temporary accommodation properties, including void management, lettings, and tenancy management. 2. Ensure compliance with legislation, council policies, and health and safety regulations. 3. Monitor performance of temporary accommodation providers and enforce contracts. 4. Procure new temporary accommodation providers to increase available stock. 5. Manage rent payments, arrears, and debt counseling. 6. Conduct regular inspections to prevent and detect fraud. 7. Address breaches of tenancy conditions, including anti-social behavior. 8. Monitor and visit temporary accommodation tenancies to provide a tenancy management service. 9. Deal with vulnerable tenants and work with police and other agencies to address criminal behavior. 10. Provide a housing service to tenants with special needs and liaise with Social Services and other support agencies.
