What the QA Test Manager Will Do:

  • Take full ownership of the Quality Assurance function across multiple products and projects spanning web, mobile, backend systems, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on oversight where required.
  • Define and implement a unified QA strategy, tools and processes.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the QA team to maximise performance and growth.
  • Establish KPIs and drive measurable quality improvements.
  • Oversee test planning, risk assessment and release readiness.
  • Ensure defects are clearly identified, tracked, analysed and resolved.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to influence design and test coverage.
  • Identify smarter testing approaches and increase automation where appropriate.

The Technology Environment:

The engineering team works across a modern stack of web and back-end applications. Most infrastructure sits within a cloud-native environment using IaC approaches. The QA function supports testing across web portals, mobile applications, CMS platforms, backend database systems, and cloud infrastructure deployments. Automated testing is a key focus.

What You Need:

  • Proven experience leading and developing QA Test Engineers.
  • Strong experience pivoting, defining and implementing QA test strategies.
  • Strong automation knowledge.
  • Experience across multiple large-scale products.
  • Background working within Agile software development environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess risk quickly and guide teams through informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience producing clear, structured test plans and reports.
  • Exposure to regulated environments is desirable.
