As an HR Advisor, do you enjoy being the person managers turn to for trusted advice, solutions and guidance through difficult people situations? Do you thrive when you're involved in the whole employee journey rather than being restricted to one small part of the HR function? Unfortunately, the reality for many HR Advisors is that they find themselves buried in admin, spending most of their time processing paperwork, chasing approvals, updating systems, and firefighting issues with little opportunity to influence decisions, improve processes, or build meaningful relationships with the people they're there to support.

You'll join a growing organisation where HR has a visible presence across the business and where you'll have the opportunity to build relationships, influence managers, contribute to projects, and play a key role in creating a positive employee experience. It's a varied position that combines employee relations, HR operations, recruitment support, wellbeing initiatives, reporting, projects and office management responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys diversity in their role and wants exposure across the full HR spectrum.

Salary: up to £40,000 per annum (may be slightly negotiable depending on experience)

  • Annual salary reviews with regular market benchmarking
  • Hybrid working (1 day per week remote from home)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme with employer contribution and matched enhancements
  • Health Cash Plan including 24/7 GP access, dental and optical cover
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Modern office environment and collaborative culture
  • Team events, knowledge sharing and continuous learning opportunities
  • Structured training and development opportunities to help you grow

What the HR Advisor Will Do:

  • You'll work closely with managers and employees across the business, providing trusted HR advice while helping to create a positive, compliant and engaging employee experience.
  • Providing first-line HR advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle
  • Managing low to medium-risk employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct and grievance cases
  • Coordinating onboarding, contractual changes, probation reviews and employee lifecycle administration
  • Supporting recruitment activities, including offers, pre-employment checks and onboarding
  • Maintaining accurate HR records, reporting and payroll-related employee changes
  • Supporting Health & Safety compliance and the smooth day-to-day running of the office

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor or HR Generalist who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering a high-quality HR service.

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist position
  • Experience supporting managers with employee relations cases and HR policy application
  • Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience maintaining HR records, producing documentation and supporting HR processes
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous (practical HR experience is equally important)

Perhaps you're currently spending more time processing paperwork than supporting people and looking for a role that gives you broader exposure across employee relations, HR operations, wellbeing, projects and continuous improvement, helping you build the skills needed for your next step into Senior Advisor or Business Partner level positions.
