As a Senior Medical Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in advancing scientific excellence, supporting innovative treatments, and ensuring UK medical insights help shape meaningful impact for patients.

Your Role
As a Senior Medical Advisor for LEO Pharma UK, you will lead and execute medical strategies that support our innovative product portfolio. Acting as a trusted scientific partner, you will collaborate across medical, commercial, global, and regional teams to drive brand excellence, strengthen scientific exchange, and support clinical development activities.
You will also provide expert guidance on industry codes and empower Medical Science Liaisons with clear direction, measurable goals, and scientific leadership.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing brand-specific medical strategies aligned with UK, global, and cross-functional priorities.
- Building deep relationships with Key External Experts through meetings, congresses, symposia, and insight-gathering activities.
- Leading clinical activities, including Investigator Initiated Study proposals, clinical site nominations, engagement, and patient recruitment.
- Partnering with marketing, global, and regional teams to develop high-quality scientific materials and activities.
- Design, generation and interpretation of real-world evidence (RWE) studies to inform medical strategy and support impactful stakeholder engagement.
- Monitoring competitor data, publications, clinical developments, and scientific insights to inform planning and decision-making.
You will act as the medical affairs lead for the UK in global forums, ensuring local perspectives are heard while bringing global insights back into the business. This is a highly visible role where scientific exchange is translated into tangible action, measurable outcomes, and meaningful progress for patients.
Your Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will bring significant medical affairs expertise, scientific credibility, and the ability to operate effectively in a commercially focused organisation. You understand how to turn insight into strategy, and strategy into execution – leveraging medical affairs to drive business impact.
We are looking for someone with:
- An advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, or life sciences GMC/GPhC registered. Medical Signatory status is a significant advantage.
- Expert knowledge of ABPI and relevant UK regulatory frameworks.
- Significant medical affairs expertise and scientific credibility, ideally within dermatology or a closely related therapeutic area.
- Ability to operate effectively and confidently in a commercially focused organization.
- Ability to turn insight into strategy, and strategy into execution – leveraging medical affairs to drive business impact.
- Experience in the design, implementation, and interpretation of real-world evidence (RWE) studies is required.
- Proven experience developing medical strategies and delivering tactical plans.
- Recent experience working on a launch medicine.
