We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Signatory to join our UK/IRE team on a 12-month, Fixed–Term contract, with the potential to extend. This is a key role within Medical Affairs and Compliance, offering the opportunity to influence high‑quality, ethical communications and support our growing portfolio.
As our new Medical Signatory, you will provide expert ABPI/IPHA Code‑compliant medical review and approval for UK and Ireland materials and activities. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure all communications meet the highest scientific, regulatory, and ethical standards while supporting brand strategy and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities include:
- ABPI/IPHA Code Compliance & Medical Review
- Review and approve promotional and non‑promotional materials in line with ABPI/IPHA Codes and LEO internal policies
- Provide clear guidance and expert interpretation of Code requirements to UK/IRE teams
- Escalate complex or high‑risk issues to Signatory Alignment Meetings or Compliance Review Committees
- Investigate Code complaints, draft responses, and manage appeals where required
- Stay up to date with Code updates, PMCPA rulings, and industry best practice
- Ensure materials are scientifically accurate and aligned with LEO Pharma’s therapeutic areas and strategy
- Partner with Medical Affairs and cross‑functional brand teams to provide compliant scientific input
- Monitor competitor activity, publications, and emerging clinical data
- Deliver ABPI/IPHA Code compliance training to internal teams
- Support the development of SOPs, guidance documents, and templates
- Provide therapy area and product training as required
- Work closely with marketing, sales, market access, training, and global colleagues
- Build effective internal relationships and engage proactively with external stakeholders
Your Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will have the following qualifications:
- ABPI/IPHA Medical Signatory status
- Significant Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- In‑depth knowledge of UK/IRE regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Dermatology experience is highly desirable, as is product launch experience
