An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistic Planner based at our Head Office in Halifax. We are looking for a proactive, professional individual to join our responsive and forward-thinking team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily scheduling
- Support administrative processes to assist and advise operations on trends and patterns
- Plan a large and complex transport operation
- Build and maintain relationships with all internal stakeholders and customers where appropriate
- Organise and control business unit vehicles and drivers in accordance with customer requirements and services
Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, statutory, industry and customer requirements
- Conduct daily checks on vehicles
- Ensure that accident reports are assessed and report all new damages and defects to the vehicles
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of the transport and/or manufacturing industry
- Experience in route scheduling and cost-saving planning
