Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication department.
- Plan, organize, and schedule production tasks to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
- Oversee the fabrication process from start to finish, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Monitor and optimize workflow, implementing process improvements where necessary.
- Manage a team of skilled fabricators, providing leadership and guidance to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of the team.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of projects.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and control fabrication costs, utilizing resources efficiently to meet budget targets.
- Identify and implement measures to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall productivity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fabrication Manager or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to draw in Auto Cad.
- Experience with plasma cutters.
- In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications.
- Familiarity with quality control principles and ISO standards.
- Proven track record of meeting production targets and delivering high-quality results.
This is a full-time position Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm. Please be aware that hours may vary depending on company needs. Overtime available weekdays and weekends.
