Leo Group is one of the UK’s leading specialists in animal by-products and renewable energy. We play a critical role in the food and agricultural industries collecting and processing material – which is converted into meals and oils for use in pet food, cosmetics, chemicals, and renewable fuel. As we continue to grow and develop our operations, we are looking for Production Operators, who can operate Forklift, to join our Halifax site. This is a great opportunity for individuals that are hardworking and keen to be part of an existing business that continues to grow. This position requires working with animal by-product. An external license is not required, experience or willingness to learn is essential.

Main duties:

  • Responsible for production, controlling process.
  • Operating Forklift.
  • Ensuring quality and safety, completing required documentation.
  • Taking samples for testing, and checking temperature of the product.
  • Loading and unloading blending/milling machines, tankers.
  • Monitor work equipment, report safety issues.
  • Assist in general plant support.

Skills:

  • Experience in operating Forklift truck or desire to learn how to operate FLT.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks.
