Leo Group is one of the UK’s leading specialists in animal by-products and renewable energy. We play a critical role in the food and agricultural industries collecting and processing material – which is converted into meals and oils for use in pet food, cosmetics, chemicals, and renewable fuel. As we continue to grow and develop our business, we are looking for full time, permanent employees. This is a great opportunity for individuals that are hardworking and keen to be part of an existing business that continues to grow. Please be aware this position is based in Penrith, Cumbria.

We are looking for full time employees! Shifts are 12 hours long and 6am-6pm and 6pm -6am. You will be required to support an efficient production process by maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You must not have an issue working around animal raw material (carcass etc).

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Completion of thorough handovers with outgoing/incoming Cleaners
  • Cleaning of the work environment in adherence to the cleaning schedule
  • Completion of any adhoc requests
  • Ensure that all cleaning tools are maintained to required standard
  • Ensure that all cleaning products and chemicals are stored correctly
  • Ensure that raw and processed waste materials are separated and disposed of correctly
  • Identification and reporting of any spillages, damages or issues (regardless of scale impact) in a timely manner
  • Completion of documentation; regular and adhoc
  • Responsible for health and safety of the work environment
  • Any additional activities as required by the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Desirable 1 year experience in cleaning
  • Previous experience within the industry (full training will be given)
