For the area of Procurement, we invite applications for the role of Stores Technician, located in Grimsby, UK.
Key tasks & main accountabilities:- You will be responsible for confirming that the delivery note/goods match the purchase order, and that goods are fit for purpose.
- You will receive and issue goods in SAP, ensure that all paperwork & computer records relating to stock volumes are updated and correct, and respond to invoice queries received via the Tangro system.
- You will arrange for goods outwards to be collected, monitor the exact locations of all materials coming under Stores control, and raise any concerns regarding potential breaches of internal procurement policy with the Procurement Manager.
- You will act as the gatekeeper for the stores, such that no access is granted to enable any items to be removed whilst a Stores Technician is present.
- You will conduct regular stock checks as advised by Internal Audit/Global Finance, and review all discrepancies with Finance colleagues, with the aim of understanding why and how any issues can be removed going forward.
- You will chase outstanding goods on open purchase orders if they fall overdue, and resolve issues relating to incorrect deliveries or quality concerns in a timely manner, such that production demand is not impacted.
- You will follow relevant safe work procedures; maintain a safe and clean environment within Stores and all areas of work; and ensure that internal and external Health, Safety & Environmental standards are met, in terms of work performance and behaviour.
- You have minimum GCSE Maths & English language, Grade A-C or equivalent.
- Fork Lift Licence and Stacker Truck Licence are essential.
- You are able to use SAP, enter data on spreadsheets, and provide a professional counter service to employees and contractors.
- You are dedicated, hardworking, self-motivated, able to multi-task whilst remaining accurate and disciplined in all tasks, and to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
- You are flexible and willing to adopt new practices, and be actively involved in developing the safety culture.
- You have good awareness of the importance of safety within a stores environment.
