Help make lentiviral vectors better for everyone who uses them
Lentitek is a small biotech team with proprietary LTRx technology that improves lentivirus production. We're looking for a Technology Development Lead to take ownership of our analytical capability and push the core technology forward.
What you'll do
- Build and establish a suite of analytical assays for lentivirus quality and function, including cell-based functional assays assessing CAR performance in immortalised and primary cells
- Deliver commercial projects that put our LTRx technology to the test with real customers
- Work directly with customers, showing them how our technology improves their lentivirus production process
- Develop the technology further - both improving what we have and exploring parallel opportunities.
- Travel in the UK and internationally for conferences and customer work
You’ll also have authority to set up trader accounts and place orders for R&D supplies and services. We trust the person in this role to work independently.
What we’re looking for
- A PhD in a biological sciences discipline, or equivalent research experience
- Three or more years working in the biotech industry
- Hands-on experience developing and validating cell-based and functional assays
- Practical knowledge of lentiviral vectors, viral vector production or cell and gene therapy
- Confidence dealing with customers and explaining technical work to a technical audience
- The kind of person who’s comfortable in a team of eight, where you build things rather than inherit them
Hours and working pattern
37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Occasional additional hours as the work demands.
