We have exciting opportunities for an accounts apprentice to join either our Chard or Taunton offices. The successful candidate will study towards the AAT qualification via day release study at a local college.

The position is 37.5 hours per week including one day per week attending college during term time. 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities include:

  • General administration to support the team
  • Preparation of accounts
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Working as part of a team to provide excellent service to our clients
  • Attend college, undertake course work and complete exams
  • Undertake, collate and gather evidence of OTJTR (off the job training requirements) as stipulated by the AAT
  • Any other associated and/or ad-hoc tasks and duties

  • You will need to be logical and well organised
  • You will have good problem solving skills
  • Computer literate with an aptitude towards spreadsheets
  • You will have good attention to detail
  • Be able to work both well in a team and independently
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A-C)
  • A minimum of grade 5 (B) in GCSE Maths

Lentells is made up of nine Directors who are supported by a dedicated and highly trained team of staff. We are committed to providing continuing professional training for our staff by funding external training courses for our team as well as internal training sessions and ‘on the job’ training.
