If you’re an experienced Multi Drop Delivery Driver looking for a permanent job with regular work, a friendly team and routes you can actually get to know, Lenpart would like to hear from you. This is a full time driving role based from our Greenhithe site, delivering to customers across London and the surrounding counties. Most of our work involves repeat customers and familiar delivery locations. That means you won’t constantly be sent somewhere completely new every day. Over time, you’ll get to know the routes, the customers and the sites you are delivering to.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your day will usually involve around 8 to 10 deliveries, depending on the area and route. You’ll be responsible for:
- Completing multi drop deliveries across London and surrounding counties
- Delivering tubes, boxes, bags and other customer orders
- Loading and unloading your vehicle
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Reporting any vehicle issues quickly
- Keeping deliveries on schedule
- Providing a polite and helpful service to customers
- Looking after your vehicle and keeping it ready for the next run
There is some manual handling involved, so you’ll need to be reasonably fit and comfortable loading and unloading. The heaviest items are handled by forklift and there are other team members available to help.
The Hours
The day starts at 6am, and this is a fixed start time. Starting early means getting out before the worst of the traffic and helps us complete our pre 10am and morning deliveries. Most days finish at around 4pm, although your actual finish time will depend on the run. This isn’t a role where you’ll regularly be expected to work overtime.
Where You’ll Be Driving
Most deliveries are across London and the surrounding counties. There are occasional longer runs:
- Wales, usually around one to three times per month
- Birmingham and Devon, normally only a few times per year
So while there is some variety, you won’t constantly be spending your week doing long distance driving.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, polite and comfortable dealing with customers. You’ll need:
- At least one year of previous delivery driving experience
- Previous multi drop driving experience
- A full UK driving licence
- Good road knowledge and confidence driving around London and surrounding areas
- A reasonable level of physical fitness
- Good timekeeping
- A helpful and professional attitude
- The ability to meet the company’s vehicle insurance requirements
- A clean licence is preferred, although a small number of points may be considered.
For 7.5T driving, you will also need a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. You must have the right to work in the UK.
Why Join Lenpart?
We’re a small, friendly and growing team, and we want drivers who are looking for a long term job rather than just another temporary driving position. Our vehicles are maintained through our sister garage, which means any issues can be dealt with quickly. Drivers complete daily walk round checks and can report problems straight away through the team group chat.
You’ll also receive:
- Permanent full time employment
- Pay from £13.00 per hour for 3.5T driving
- £15.00+ per hour for 7.5T driving
- Pay reviews
- Workplace pension
- Statutory holiday entitlement
- Free onsite parking
- Company tops, jackets and hi vis provided
- Regular repeat delivery routes and customers
- Well maintained vehicles
- A friendly, supportive team
- And when the company hits its sales targets, there are often a few extras for the team too, including drinks and pizza.
You’ll need to provide your own black cargo trousers and steel toe cap boots.
