This is a full time driving role based from our Greenhithe site, delivering to customers across London and the surrounding counties. Most of our work involves repeat customers and familiar delivery locations. That means you won't constantly be sent somewhere completely new every day. Over time, you'll get to know the routes, the customers and the sites you are delivering to.
What You'll Be Doing
- Your day will usually involve around 8 to 10 deliveries, depending on the area and route.
- Completing multi drop deliveries across London and surrounding counties
- Delivering tubes, boxes, bags and other customer orders
- Loading and unloading your vehicle
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Reporting any vehicle issues quickly
- Keeping deliveries on schedule
- Providing a polite and helpful service to customers
- Looking after your vehicle and keeping it ready for the next run
There is some manual handling involved, so you'll need to be reasonably fit and comfortable loading and unloading. The heaviest items are handled by forklift and there are other team members available to help.
The Hours
The day starts at 6am, and this is a fixed start time. Starting early means getting out before the worst of the traffic and helps us complete our pre 10am and morning deliveries.
