- Job Overview
This role will be responsible for leading the Legal Team that advises the Solutions and Services Group on all legal requirements relating to new services and solution development.
You will work with the SSG General Counsel and provide legal and regulatory support for the creation of new attached services, software, solutions, managed services in AI, Hybrid Cloud, Sustainability and Digital Workplace Solutions.
- Job Responsibilities
- Advising the Services Team on a wide range of regulatory and commercial legal issues
- Lead a Team supporting new services development in AI, Hybrid Cloud, Sustainability, Digital Workplace Solutions
- provide legal support for the Lenovo Teams developing new services, software and solutions
- assist with the development of new solutions and services to facilitate sales across SSG and oversea their global roll out
- collaborate with internal and outside counsel, specific subject matter experts, and stakeholders
- work closely with Lenovo’s lawyers, as well as services teams in the U. S., Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
- Work closely with the GCT and SSG Regional Leaders to ensure that if the GCT is supporting Solutions and Services from SSG they have the necessary training, playbooks and templates
- advise SSG Team on a wide range of regulatory and commercial legal issues
- effectively engage in issue-spotting and involving legal subject matter experts within the broader corporate-level Lenovo Legal Department
- work efficiently to supplement internal resources across Lenovo’s geographies with advice from outside as needed
- draft standard templates for new solutions and services
- work with the COE to establish a template library for all Services so they can be easily found and maintained
- Establish a clear engagement process between legal and service development teams
- Job Requirements
- 15+ years’ experience corporate/commercial legal work
- Experience leading a Team that advises on the establishment of new solutions and services, Saa S, software development
- Experience in a national or global law firm, or experience as in-house commercial counsel in a global company
- Experience in building tools and systems that systematically track the advice that has been provided and enables services to be tracked in life
- Experience of tracking and applying new laws and regulations and ensuring compliance
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability, confidence, and gravitas necessary to advise leadership within the company, exercising sound business and legal judgment
- Ability to anticipate, proactively manage and mitigate legal risks; and effectively advise on risk management and mitigation
- Ability to manage multiple projects, including transactional work and strategic projects, and set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global work environment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, to learn from experience and peers, and to be a team player
