This role is open for the Edinburgh, Scotland location only. Candidates must be based there, as the position requires working from the office at least three days per week (3:2 hybrid policy).

As an HR Partner within the Lenovo CTO Organization, you will partner with senior leaders across Europe and META. You will act as a strategic people partner, translating business strategy into practical, scalable people solutions while ensuring strong governance, a positive employee experience, and compliance with local and global standards. You will join a growing global R&D organization at the heart of Lenovo’s expanding AI research footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders within the CTO Organization across the UK, Israel, and KSA, translating business priorities into people, organizational, and capability strategies. Contribute directly to business and functional strategy by identifying organizational needs, assessing capability gaps, and shaping solutions aligned to local and global objectives. Support leaders through periods of growth, transformation, and increasing technical complexity. Partner with leaders to design and evolve organization structures, workforce plans, and role architectures that enable innovation and scalable delivery. Shape and deliver talent strategies in partnership with Talent Acquisition, ensuring access to scarce technical and AI related skills across Europe and Meta. Support leadership succession, high potential identification, and development planning within critical technical populations.
  • Culture, Capability & Engagement: Drive initiatives that build inclusive, high performance cultures, aligned to Lenovo values while respecting local market dynamics. Coach leaders on people leadership, change management, and decision making in complex, matrixed environments. Use engagement insights and qualitative feedback to inform targeted actions that improve employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
  • Employee Relations, Risk & Compliance: Provide expert guidance on employee relations, local employment legislation, and people risk management across UK, Israel, and KSA, partnering closely with Legal and local HR teams. Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant application of HR policies while applying sound judgement in complex employee matters. Balance commercial agility with strong governance and risk awareness.
  • Global & Regional Collaboration: Work closely with Europe and Meta HR colleagues and global HR partners in the US and China to align regional execution with global people strategies. Contribute to global HR initiatives and pilots, bringing Europe and Meta market insight and practical application experience.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Partner within a global organization.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with senior leaders, ideally within technical, engineering, or innovation led environments.
  • Strong capability in organization design, workforce planning, and talent strategy execution.
  • Solid knowledge of employee relations and employment legislation across multiple geographies.
  • Experience working within a matrixed HR operating model and collaborating across HR functions.
  • Strong influencing, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound judgement with a disciplined approach to governance and risk management.
