We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading Law Firm in their search for an ambitious Employment Solicitor (Associate or Senior Associate Level), to join the ranks of their pre-eminent team in Belfast at Associate or Senior Associate level. The Employment team is one of the leading employment law practices and is consistently top ranked by independent legal directories. They provide unrivalled service supporting clients, including many of the world’s leading businesses, on their HR, employment and immigration law needs domestically and internationally.
As the employment solicitor (Associate or Senior Associate Level), you will handle a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, and deal with a wide range of clients. You will provide high-quality employment law advice and representation to employer clients, delivering practical, commercially focused solutions while contributing to the continued development of the firm’s Employment Law practice in Northern Ireland.
Matters will include:
- Unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal
- Discrimination (sex, race, disability, age, religion/belief, sexual orientation)
- Redundancy and restructuring
- TUPE
- Disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
- Settlement agreements and terminations
- Managing employment tribunal claims from inception to hearing, including advocacy where appropriate
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, contracts, and settlement documentation
- Providing clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice tailored to client needs
As the Employment Solicitor (Associate or Senior Associate Level), you will be a qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland, England and Wales or the Republic of Ireland. You will be 1-5 years’ PQE and gained the benefit of training and development in a well-respected employment team. You must have comprehensive employment law knowledge, a strong analytical ability, and a clear communication style (both spoken and written). A commercial approach to client service is essential, and you must enjoy doing business development and, above all, must be a team player.
