The Corporate team is consistently top-ranked, holding Tier 1 status from Legal 500 and Band 1 from Chambers & Partners for corporate M&A. The team currently consists of 16 partners, 15 associates, three legal directors, two trainees, one paralegal and a knowledge lawyer, operating across UK offices.
The Transactional Services Lawyer is an exciting, newly created position within the Corporate team in Belfast but working with the UK Group. You will take the lead across the firm's London, Manchester, Cardiff and Belfast offices on transaction services and related functions, combining legal expertise with innovation and process improvement.
The role involves managing transactional due diligence exercises, liaising with Corporate lawyers leading transactions, specialist lawyers in other practice areas, and overseas lawyers on cross-border matters, to deliver due diligence reports with appropriate risk analysis and recommendations.
The role encompasses providing training to specialist lawyers in other practice groups on delivering their work product in a transactional context, developing new products in adjacent areas such as legal audit services, and preparing business development content focused on transaction services issues. However, you will also support the wider Corporate team on other transactional work as capacity permits, which may involve some fee-earning activity on a secondary basis.
As the Transactional Services Lawyer, you will ideally have a minimum of 4 years' PQE in Corporate/M&A working on UK transactions, together with experience of, or working with teams in, legal technology, legal project management or legal process design.
