Your New Company Were working with one of Northern Irelands premier law firms in their search for an ambitious solicitor with Planning and Environmental experience to join their team in Belfast City Centre.

Our client is open to hiring at either Associate or Associate Director Level, subject to relevant experience.
Your New Role In your new role as the Planning and Environmental Solicitor (Associate or Associate Director Level), you will handle aspects Planning Law and Public Law, with a particular emphasis on judicial review in the planning and environmental context, enabling you to provide comprehensive and proactive advice to clients.
In terms of work, you will gain exposure to significant projects in Northern Ireland, advising on high-profile and complex matters.
The department also works for promoters of schemes and specific industry groupings, with substantial experience in acting for local planning authorities and, to a lesser extent, objectors, whether it is commercial rival operators or residents.
So, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad and interesting variety of Planning and Environmental matters.
What youll Need To Succeed As the Planning and Environmental Solicitor (Associate or Associate Director Level), you will be a qualified Solicitor from 3 YRS PQE and above (Qualified in Northern Ireland or The Republic of Ireland or England & Wales), with a strong experience in planning and Environmental Law.
Previous experience in Planning and Environmental law is important with either a boutique, leading regional or city law firm.
However, our client would also consider a candidate with Public Law & JR experience, advising the Public Sector.
Excellent communication and organisation skills and an ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Strong academic record.
Excellent technical and drafting skills.
High level of commercial and business awareness.
A proactive, measured and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
