We are delighted to partner with a boutique law firm in Belfast City Centre who is searching for a legal receptionist to join their excellent team.

You will work full-time or part-time as a legal receptionist in this Belfast City Centre law practice. Key duties of the role include:

  • Answering, receiving and screening telephone calls in a prompt, professional and friendly manner consistent with the preference of the solicitors in the law firm.
  • Exercising sound discretion and judgement and prioritising effectively.
  • Working closely with the solicitors in the practice to ensure that matters are dealt with promptly.
  • Carrying out other reasonable administrative tasks and duties as required, including typing and preparing documents.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience working in a legal office environment is highly desirable, but experience in a comparable office environment will also be considered.
  • Ability to consistently provide a high level of quality client service.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative, prompt, calm, enthusiastic and friendly manner.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office (including extensive knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint).
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with solicitors, staff and clients.
  • Ability to perform both routine and non-routine tasks with a calm and professional manner, excellent attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling and maintaining confidential information and data.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and follow instructions effectively and to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
  • Ability to maintain positive contact with clients, solicitors and staff and observe confidentiality of client matters.
