My valued client are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for their North Yorkshire Mining Project. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for operational equipment. They will liaise with the Mechanical, Electrical, and Operational teams, ensuring that maintenance tasks are accurately documented and executed within the required timeframe. Additionally, the Maintenance Planner will perform the final quality assurance review for the closure of all work scopes within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Duties Involve:

  • Utilise the company's CMMS to plan and issue shaft teams with all maintenance activities. (HxGN EAM or SAP experience preferred).
  • Ensure that planned/unplanned maintenance of equipment and machinery is completed, and appropriate records are kept, maintaining statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Accurately analyse completed work in the CMMS ensuring the correct information has been captured.
  • Review ongoing maintenance activities and identify areas where efficiency can be improved.
  • Review recorded conditional monitoring data and create necessary follow on work where required.
  • Ensuring records are produced and kept of any emergency and reactive work that has been carried out.
  • Ensuring the company complies with necessary regulations relating to maintenance.
  • Assist with any intervention or safety investigations as required.
  • Review Equipment onboarding paperwork.
  • Review proposed maintenance schedules for data integrity prior to CMMS upload.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Asset Register to indicate what equipment is operational and non-operational.
  • Facilitate the documentation upload of Statutory Compliance reports to the CMMS.

Most of time is spent in an office environment; part of the time is spent making numerous site visits above and underground workplaces. Exposure to multiple demands, distractions/interruptions. Numerous visits to site both above ground & underground. Underground visits require physical activity such as walking on uneven ground, climbing, and the wearing additional personal protective equipment. (Candidate will be subject to a Safety Critical Medical and Drugs and Alcohol Screening).

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Planning role.
  • HxGN EAM or SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent negotiator and ability to influence decision making.
  • Candidates with similar trade experience (Mechanical, Electrical, mining or Civils) would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in Microsoft packages, particularly with Excel and Word.
  • Able to pass a safety critical medical.
  • Excellent communication skills, and fluent in English.
  • A sound understanding of planning work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures is essential.

Role is Mon - Friday working 8am - 4 pm with option of 1 day remote working. Suitable candidates who do not live locally will have accommodation provided by the employer for the hours on duty (must return home on days off and weekends / holidays etc). Competitive salary and other benefits such as canteen on site, bonus scheme, holidays etc. Candidates MUST have either British / Irish Passport or a Valid Share Code with Right to Work in the UK (No sponsorship if offered with this role).
