My client is urgently seeking a Heavy Plant Fitter for an immediate start on a temp to perm basis for their mining site, commutable from Bath / Bristol / Chippenham area.
Temp to Permanent Position
Duties are:
- Maintaining, repair, commissioning of forklift trucks, small loaders, 2.5 tonne slews, scooptrams etc and all plant on site.
- Implementation of PPM Scheme, defect reporting and close out.
- Brake testing
- Monthly safety checks to all equipment
- Maintaining all plant records etc
- A commitment to safe working practices.
Candidates must have experience in the above and ideally hold NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical fitting / Plant Maintenance or similar field qualification.
Working Shift is 08.00 – 16.30 Mon – Friday 40 hours per week.
Rate of pay : £21.87 per hour = £45,500 per year (temp in interim accrues holiday pay)
Overtime worked above 40 hours per week paid at 1.5 rate – Paid at £32.80 per hour
Full UK clean driving licence
Upon making permanent after 12 weeks
