Position Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced Account Management Lead to own and scale the success of our existing SME customer base. This is a senior role for someone with 5+ years’ experience in SME lending or fintech, who is able to combine their strong relationship management skills with a commercial, growth-oriented mindset.

You’ll be accountable for leading the growth initiatives for our existing customer portfolio, drive world-class retention through outstanding service and product-led engagement, and elevating the Lenkie brand through targeted account-based marketing initiatives. You’ll also help shape how we drive smarter processes and automation, to improve the speed-to-delivery of our service.

This role sits at the intersection of customer success, growth, and product feedback - acting as the voice of the customer internally while ensuring Lenkie delivers an outstanding post-funding experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Growing Our Customer Base: Own the growth of our existing customer portfolio, including driving initiatives for reactivations, referrals and churn prevention. Identify opportunities to grow account value through repeat funding, upsell, cross-sell, and deeper product adoption. Monitor customer health, engagement, and performance, proactively addressing customer concerns before they materialise. Deliver a consistently world-class customer experience that drives long-term loyalty and advocacy.
  • Churn Prevention & Product-Led Retention: Work closely with customers to understand their evolving needs and friction points. Gather structured feedback on products, processes, and experience, feeding clear insights into product and operations teams. Partner with internal stakeholders to influence new features, improvements, and service changes that increase customer stickiness.
  • Account-Based Marketing & Brand Building: Design and execute targeted, account-based initiatives (campaigns, comms, events, or content) to deepen engagement with key customer segments. Collaborate within Lenkie to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across the customer lifecycle and roll-out of new product features.
  • Efficiency & Automation: Identify opportunities to automate or streamline basic service queries and routine interactions. Help design scalable account management processes that balance excellent service with operational efficiency as our portfolio continues to grow.

Required skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in senior account management or account management lead roles, within SME lending or fintech sectors.
  • Strong understanding of SME lending, customer behaviour, post-funding lifecycles.
  • Proven experience in portfolio growth and retention initiatives.
  • Customer-first mindset with strong commercial awareness and product vision.
  • Experienced in working cross-functionally with product, operations, credit, and marketing teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scale-up environment, with a true ownership-mentality from managing accounts to driving strategic initiatives.

What you’ll get from us:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Hybrid working from our London office (Holborn).
  • High level of autonomy and ownership within a growing commercial function.
  • Opportunity to shape and improve a core acquisition channel.
  • Steep learning curve and clear career progression in a high-growth fintech.
  • Regular team and company socials.
