We’re looking for an experienced Account Management Lead to own and scale the success of our existing SME customer base. This is a senior role for someone with 5+ years’ experience in SME lending or fintech, who is able to combine their strong relationship management skills with a commercial, growth-oriented mindset.
You’ll be accountable for leading the growth initiatives for our existing customer portfolio, drive world-class retention through outstanding service and product-led engagement, and elevating the Lenkie brand through targeted account-based marketing initiatives. You’ll also help shape how we drive smarter processes and automation, to improve the speed-to-delivery of our service.
This role sits at the intersection of customer success, growth, and product feedback - acting as the voice of the customer internally while ensuring Lenkie delivers an outstanding post-funding experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the growth of our existing customer portfolio, including driving initiatives for reactivations, referrals and churn prevention.
- Identify opportunities to grow account value through repeat funding, upsell, cross-sell, and deeper product adoption.
- Monitor customer health, engagement, and performance, proactively addressing customer concerns before they materialise.
- Deliver a consistently world-class customer experience that drives long-term loyalty and advocacy.
- Work closely with customers to understand their evolving needs and friction points.
- Gather structured feedback on products, processes, and experience, feeding clear insights into product and operations teams.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to influence new features, improvements, and service changes that increase customer stickiness.
- Design and execute targeted, account-based initiatives (campaigns, comms, events, or content) to deepen engagement with key customer segments.
- Collaborate within Lenkie to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across the customer lifecycle and roll-out of new product features.
- Identify opportunities to automate or streamline basic service queries and routine interactions.
- Help design scalable account management processes that balance excellent service with operational efficiency as our portfolio continues to grow.
- 5+ years’ experience in senior account management or account management lead roles, within SME lending or fintech sectors.
- Strong understanding of SME lending, customer behaviour, post-funding lifecycles.
- Proven experience in portfolio growth and retention initiatives.
- Customer-first mindset with strong commercial awareness and product vision.
- Experienced in working cross-functionally with product, operations, credit, and marketing teams.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scale-up environment, with a true ownership-mentality from managing accounts to driving strategic initiatives.
