About the role
We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic and driven Broker Manager. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong sales acumen combined with modern efficiency skills (AI and automation), be able to onboard and nurture exceptional relationships, and be driven in helping us achieve our exciting commercial goals. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of Lenkie's core go-to-market channel, identifying opportunities to grow our customer base, and collaborating across departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Knowledge and experience in broker relationship management at a lending business is essential for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- New business: you will be responsible for expanding our network of brokers and referring partners. Experience in broker relationship management and outbound sales is crucial. You will be required to research, pitch and onboard new brokers, new industry partners and support with feedback on their funding applications.
- Relationship management: as our first port of call for existing partners, you will need to build exceptional relationships through clear communication and speed of service. Go the extra mile to meet the needs of your relationships, including travelling within the UK for in-person meetings, pitches and events.
- Product expertise: being able to provide brokers and referring partners with an in-depth understanding of our product, both from a software and a lending perspective, will be critical to your success.
- Market analysis: the SME funding landscape is highly competitive, and an ability to articulate why brokers and customers should choose Lenkie - developed through a deep understanding of the market - is key.
- CRM Management: maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with your relationship using our CRM system and execute on account management plans.
- Collaboration: work closely with the new business sales, account management, credit and tech teams to help ensure best-in-class customer experience and retention.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on sales strategies, messaging, and product offerings to contribute to ongoing improvements and enhancements.
Qualifications/required skills:
- Experience: The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-3 years experience of working in a broker-facing role. Knowledge of the UK SME finance market is crucial.
- Track record of excellence: A degree is not a deal breaker. Instead, we want to see evidence of out-performance in your career.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities, objectives and technology.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to stay humble and work effectively within a team environment.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using various sales, communication and efficiency tools such as CRM, AI tooling, data reporting, and social media.
