Lendlord, a leading technology company, seeks an ambitious and experienced Insurance Advisor with some mortgage experience.
Your role will focus on advising customers on general insurance for their property portfolio which will include buildings and contents insurance, landlord insurance. and, life cover, critical illness, income protection. Many of these customers will also be taking out Buy to Let and Portfolio Buy to Let mortgages through us.
You’ll be given protection and insurance enquiries from our significant existing client base and a wider network. You’ll also work closely with our mortgage team to make sure every client’s borrowing and property portfolio is properly protected.

Responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on protection and general insurance solutions suited to their personal and property needs
- Reviewing clients’ existing cover and spotting gaps in protection
- Progressing applications through underwriting to policy inception
- Keeping clients updated throughout the process, providing a high level of customer service
- Liaising with insurers, underwriters and our mortgage advisors to gain case updates
- Checking clients’ documents, inputting data and submitting applications
- Supporting renewals and ongoing client reviews
Key skills we’re looking for:
- Experience advising on personal protection and general insurance products
- Some experience of mortgages, ideally Buy to Let or portfolio lending, and an understanding of how protection fits alongside them
- The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner
- A proactive and positive approach
Experience/Qualifications required:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in protection and/or general insurance advice, with a proven track record
- Mortgage experience and relevant qualification such as CeMAP, Cert CII or equivalent
