About your work
Finance Operations sits at the heart of the LendInvest business, dealing with both loan originators and funding providers. It provides information, analysis, planning and support on cash flow, risk management and performance reporting for the various funding mechanisms in place. As a newly established function it is growing quickly and delivering real value to the wider business. Processes are evolving and technology is being sourced and implemented to drive operational efficiencies.
This role will be part of the Finance Transactions Team under our Finance Operations function, where you will play a key role in the processing day-to-day transactions via several different payment systems and creating the corresponding postings to the general ledger.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate processing of financial transactions in accordance with SLAs, which may include high volume and large values
- Ensuring adherence with company policies, regulatory requirements, including the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud
- Supporting Reconciliation Analysts with their investigations of cash at bank breaks
- Ad hoc support to the rest of the finance operations team as required, including project activity
- Support to the financial reporting team with ad-hoc reporting tasks and statutory work (non-technical)
About you
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, range of formulae including lookups, sumifs and IF)
- Comfortable working in a high pressure and a challenging environment
- Desirable:
- Background in a transaction, execution or settlement department within financial services
- Experience working with processing transactions through an ERP system (such as Oracle NetSuite) and directly in the bank where ad hoc payments and transfers are sometimes required.
- Finance related degree
- Awareness of double-entry accounting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
