About your work

We are seeking a Regulatory Reporting Lead to establish and own LendInvest’s regulatory reporting capability. This role will provide clear accountability for the preparation, interpretation and coordination of regulatory returns, ensuring submissions to regulators such as the FCA and PRA are accurate, timely and supported by robust processes and controls. The role will work across Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Data teams to centralise regulatory reporting knowledge, strengthen reporting governance and improve the underlying reporting framework. Initially the role will focus on stabilising reporting processes, documenting data lineage and strengthening controls, with the objective of creating a scalable and regulator-ready reporting capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key contact and the central point of expertise for regulatory reporting within the organisation, designing and implementing a robust control framework for regulatory reporting.
  • Own the preparation and submission of regulatory returns to the FCA, PRA and other relevant authorities, supporting responses to FCA/PRA information requests and regulatory reviews.
  • Interpret regulatory reporting requirements and ensure accurate application across submissions, defining reconciliations between regulatory submissions, financial records and operational data.
  • Maintain documentation covering reporting processes, data sources and control points.
  • Ensure reporting processes are repeatable, auditable and regulator ready.
  • Coordinate reporting inputs across Finance, Credit Risk, Operations, Compliance and Technology teams, providing guidance to internal teams on regulatory definitions and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure the correct data is sourced and interpreted appropriately for regulatory returns.
  • Work closely with Compliance and Risk functions to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automation and controls.
  • Work with Data and Technology teams to improve reporting datasets and reporting pipelines.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes and coordinate implementation across the business.

About you

  • Experience preparing or overseeing regulatory reporting within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of FCA and PRA regulatory reporting frameworks.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into reporting processes.
  • Proven experience establishing or improving reporting controls and governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation capability.
  • Advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills.
  • Experience in lending, mortgages, asset finance or banking.
  • Experience working with regulatory data sets or regulatory reporting platforms.
  • Experience improving reporting processes through automation or system improvements.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting frameworks (IFRS / UK GAAP).
