About Your Work
We are looking for a Business Development Associate to join our established Business Development Team, where we can provide full support and training in the specialist property lending industry. This role provides inbound & outbound telephony and web chat support for the brokers, field-based BDMs and wider team. The position is ideal for someone with lots of enthusiasm who is looking to grow and develop their skills and career within business development. The successful candidate will work with a number of internal stakeholders in a busy environment. Reporting to the Business Development Team Leader you will be responsible for managing incoming leads, including lead qualification and lead capture, through to submitted applications from our borrowers for all of our mortgage lending products. Ideally, you will have previous entry-level mortgage market experience, but this is not essential. This is a permanent opportunity, based on a hybrid working basis at our Glasgow office.
Key Responsibilities
- First line telephony support for mortgage brokers, brokers using our products and providing cover for the telephone lines and web chat
- Managing the enquiries inbox with leads, lead qualification and broker set up
- Maintaining understanding of our products and assisting our brokers in their dealings with us
- Keeping up to date with industry knowledge of the financial services market
- Understanding how our systems and processes work for the mortgage broker journey, ensuring all business is compliant
- Managing mortgage broker relationships
- Maintaining sales data and ensuring that regular reconciliations are carried out to ensure data integrity
- Liaising with our brokers and internal teams to communicate and progress our loan offers
About You
- A background in a sales or customer service role (desirable)
- Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
- Strong people skills, including the ability to build and manage relationships
- Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to adapt to change and remain motivated
- Previous experience working in a team environment
- Experience working at either a mortgage advisor or a mortgage lender (desirable)
- Recognised mortgage market qualification (CEMAP - desirable)
- Good written and oral communication skills
