About your work
LendInvest is looking for a talented part or newly qualified Financial Accountant to join our expanding finance team. This role is ideally suited to someone looking for their first role in industry in an exciting and fast paced Fintech, but is equally an exciting opportunity for someone keen on a lateral move. Reporting into our Finance Manager, you will play a key role supporting the Fund Accounting and Group Finance functions, ensuring consistently accurate and timely financial reporting and robust financial control.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the production of the monthly/quarterly financials for the SPVs and NAV for two Luxembourg Funds ensuring delivery in a timely manner
- Completing month end financial accounting procedures including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analytical review
- Consideration of accounting treatment to ensure compliance with LUX and IFRS accounting standards
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management information including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and commentaries
- General bookkeeping/administrative duties including accounts payable and invoicing
- Preparing working papers for audit review and liaising with external auditors
- Contributing to enhancing controls and procedures across Finance, proactively seeking to improve processes to ensure the most efficient way of working
- Involvement in ad-hoc initiatives in relation to Fund and Group Finance entities
Qualifications
- Part or recently qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Prior finance/fund accounting experience is preferable
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and principles
- Strong financial analytical skills including the ability to interpret data
- Strong organisational, planning and interpersonal skills
- High energy, pragmatic, get it done attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines
- Team player willing to support the wider Funds and Finance teams
- Previous experience working with NetSuite would be beneficial
