About Lendable
Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
- One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people
- Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
- Profitable since 2017
- Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
- Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.
Join us if you want to:
- Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
- Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo
- Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting
We’re looking for a Principal Talent Partner to join our growing Talent team, taking ownership of some of our most business-critical and complex hiring challenges. Partnering with senior leadership and the CEO Office, you'll own some of Lendable's most business-critical and high-profile searches, delivering exceptional talent across multiple functions.
From shaping hiring strategies and influencing executive stakeholders, to building talent pipelines in entirely new markets, you'll be a trusted advisor and hands-on operator. Whether it's a niche technical hire, a senior commercial leader, or an executive search, you'll bring the judgement, urgency and creativity needed to solve difficult hiring problems and deliver outstanding outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Partnering with the CEO office and senior stakeholders to shape hiring plans, challenge assumptions, and align talent strategies with business objectives
- Leading complex, executive and business-critical searches end-to-end, from initial strategy through to offer negotiation and close
- Building market-mapping strategies and talent communities for critical roles, often in new markets or functions, using market intelligence, deep sourcing and creative search techniques
- Using data and insights to diagnose hiring challenges, improve process performance, and forecast delivery against hiring goals
- Acting as a trusted ambassador for Lendable, selling both the role and the company to senior talent and building lasting relationships that feed future pipeline
- Helping shape the future of Talent at Lendable through process improvement, experimentation, and thoughtful adoption of AI and emerging technologies
What we offer:
- Real impact: see your work directly shape the trajectory of our company. The talent you hire will influence our strategy, growth and long-term success
- Growth: join and learn from driven, smart teammates who push for better, daily
- High agency: you'll own your projects end-to-end, have a genuine seat at the table, and influence decisions at the highest levels of the organisation
- Low ego: we value humility, transparency and the willingness to listen. No politics, just mutual respect and shared wins
- Best of both: we're a financially solid fintech with a start-up mentality. Enjoy the stability and resources alongside the pace, autonomy and fun of a scrappy challenger brand
What we're looking for:
- Significant experience as an internal end-to-end Senior or Principal Talent Partner within a fast-paced, product-led company, with a track record of delivering complex, senior or executive-level searches.
- Strong search and sourcing capability, with the ability to build pipelines from scratch, engage senior passive talent, and successfully hire across multiple functions and geographies
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders and navigating ambiguity in high-growth environments
- A commercial and data-driven mindset, using market insights and funnel metrics to inform hiring decisions and delivery strategies
- Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills, with confidence managing senior candidate processes and competing priorities
- Experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- High learning agility, resilience and sound judgement; able to operate independently and lead through change
- Curiosity for AI and modern recruiting technologies, and a desire to continuously improve how hiring gets done
- Fintech experience would be preferred
- Hiring experience in the US would be an advantage
Interview process:
- Screening: 30 minute call with the Head of Talent
- Task: 15 minute online assessment
- Onsite interview: 45 minute task presentation with the Head of Talent, Lead Talent Partner and Chief of Staff
- Remote interview: remote 45 minute interview with our COO
Life at Lendable:
- Winning team: the opportunity to scale up one of the world’s most successful fintech companies
- Flexible working: flexible approach tailored to each role. Hybrid roles require three days in-office weekly; fully remote roles include regular opportunities for in-person connection through socials and off-sites
- Socials & connection: opportunities and events to come together, socialise, and get to know each other beyond the office walls
- Health coverage: support for your physical and mental wellbeing, including private health cover
- Retirement & savings: long-term financial wellbeing through retirement savings plans
- Employee referral programme: earn a competitive bonus when you refer successful new team members
- Office meals & snacks: enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, plus complimentary lunches prepared by in-house chefs on in-office days at select locations
