About Lendable

Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We’re building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:

  • One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people
  • Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
  • Profitable since 2017
  • Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
  • Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)

So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.

We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

Join us if you want to:

  • Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
  • Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo
  • Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting

About the role

We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven Commercial Partnerships Associate to join the Growth team at Lendable. Focused on Zable’s upcoming new products including car insurance and mobile, you’ll play a central role in go to market of these products on price comparison websites, building the partner relationships that drive customer acquisition, and delivering analytics to guide product development.

You don't need a background in partnerships or financial services, we care far more about how you think, how numerical you are, and whether you’re genuinely curious about problems. You’ll combine data analysis with external relationship management, take real ownership from early on, and work closely with Product, Data and Credit teams to deliver results in a fast-moving launch environment. You’ll be embedded within the growth team and will work closely with different teams at Lendable while being trusted to drive growth initiatives and handle your own projects independently.

Team objectives

We are responsible for the growth of all Lendable and Zable products, delivering projects via our price comparison site partnerships or directly into the market. The team asks ‘where are new customers?’, ‘what can I improve with my current channels’ conversion?’, ‘what are competitors doing on marketplaces?’, ‘Am I risking negative selection?’, ‘what is the next product or innovation to develop?’, and ‘Are my unit economics working?’.

What you’ll be working on

  • You will own the launch of Zable car insurance and mobile on price comparison websites - from initial partner conversations through to integration, go live and on-going optimisation
  • Once live, take responsibility for channel performance: tracking volume, conversion and cost of acquisition at the partner level, identifying what’s driving changes and what to do about them
  • You will manage partner relationships across strategic and day-to-day activity, balancing focus on large strategic partners with incubating new exciting ideas and holding partners accountable to delivery milestones.
  • Prepare analysis to support commercial decisions: pulling the right data, forming a clear point of view, and presenting it in a way to keep moving forward
  • You will be trusted to negotiate customer acquisition costs and commissions with key partners, identifying areas for cost optimisations.
  • Work cross functionally with Product, Pricing, Data and Compliance to scope integrations, complete due diligence on new partners and drive projects forward
  • Keep track of what’s happening in mobile and insurance partner markets - new entrants, product changes, competitor moves - and bring those insights to internal discussions

The role progression includes gradually owning the full responsibility for strategy and execution of specific partner projects, marketing efforts or product enhancements that deliver business growth.
