About Lendable
Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We’re building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
- One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people
- Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
- Profitable since 2017
- Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
- Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.
Join us if you want to:
- Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1.
- Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo.
- Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting.
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who enjoys scripting, AI automation, systems integration, and network support. - Support InfoSec and compliance across the IT estate by contributing to incident response, resolving complex technical issues, and partnering on systems, access, and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Ability to produce and maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, and operational guides so systems are supportable, repeatable, and easy to manage at scale.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver high-quality technical implementations, drive improvements, and ensure solutions meet business and security requirements.
- Provide hands-on support for day-to-day IT operations team, including troubleshooting, ticket and maintenance workflows, onboarding and offboarding, hardware lifecycle management, and office technology support where needed.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, endpoint management, or a similar hands-on technical role, with strong experience across scripting, automation, and systems administration.
- Strong experience managing MDM and endpoint platforms across a MacOS first fleet, in addition to Windows and Linux environments.
- The ability to automate workflows and configuration and deployment through scripting with any shell language, python, and swift dialogue.
- Hands-on experience running Okta and our VPN / secure remote access as code.
- Proven experience implementing, maintaining, and improving IT systems, SaaS integrations, and network-connected services in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A pragmatic, service-minded approach with strong user empathy and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
Nice to haves:
- FCA-regulated environment experience.
