We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Tax Manager to ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, develop and implement effective tax strategies, and provide expert guidance on tax-related matters to the business. Key responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all UK and US tax returns, including corporate income tax, VAT, payroll tax, and other relevant taxes - providing effective oversight and review where preparation is outsourced.
- Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize the company's global tax burden while complying with all legal requirements.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions and assess their potential impact on the group.
- Implement and maintain an effective Tax Risk, Governance and Control Framework.
- Manage and coordinate tax audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit inquiries.
- Review and prepare tax provisions, ensuring they are accurate and in accordance with accounting standards.
- Support and review R&D tax credit claims.
- Provide expert advice on tax-related matters to management and other stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tax efficiency, compliance and reporting.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in tax compliance, tax planning and tax audit.
- Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or ACCA/ACA qualified plus relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of UK tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, payroll tax, and other relevant taxes.
- Knowledge of US tax laws and regulations an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and also as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to ensure tax compliance and efficient operations.
