Overview Lead Python Engineer to join our Data Team, balancing hands-on engineering with team leadership.
You will own the technical direction of your squad, mentor a small team of 1-2 engineers, and contribute deeply to code.
You will design and build robust data pipelines, APIs, and services that drive real decisions across the business, while keeping quality and scalability at the forefront.
You will participate in architectural discussions and help define how we build and evolve our data platform as we scale in the US market.
Responsibilities Own the technical direction of your squad, mentoring 1-2 engineers while contributing hands-on coding.
Design and build robust data pipelines, APIs, and services that support data-driven decisions.
Be a key voice in architectural discussions and help evolve the data platform as the company scales in the US.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions and reliable systems.
Qualifications Deep Python expertise; write clean, idiomatic, well-tested code and uphold quality standards.
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, or data-intensive backend services.
Solid understanding of Fast API or a comparable modern Python web framework.
Strong automated testing skills across unit, integration, and functional levels.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS; comfortable with Docker and Kubernetes.
Ability to drive technical decisions and communicate clearly with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in a cross-functional or data-focused engineering environment is a strong plus.
