Frontend Software Engineer – US Loans Team

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain user journeys, optimising conversion rates in existing customer funnels.
- Design and implement new features using Typescript, React, NextJS, and Redux Toolkit.
- Apply automated testing (e.g., React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright) to improve the testing pyramid.
- Identify and assess technical debt, advocating for code improvements alongside feature work.
- Ensure accessibility compliance with best practices and tooling.
- Collaborate with product owners and senior engineers to translate design wireframes or spec outlines into technical solutions.
- Assist in staged rollouts, multi‑variant testing, and performance optimisation of web applications.
- Contribute to the team’s end‑to‑end delivery within a monorepo (Turborepo) environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript, Typescript, and React.js, including NextJS (latest version).
- Experience with automated testing approaches and delivering high quality code.
- Understanding of accessibility guidelines and relevant tooling.
- Strong communication skills, proactive ownership, and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Experience with server‑side features in React (Server Components) and NextJS app‑folder structure is desirable.
- Experience defining API contracts using OpenAPI/Swagger and collaborating with backend teams.
- Background in web performance best practices, staged rollouts, and multivariate testing.
- Experience in a fintech, startup or scale‑up environment and multi‑product web applications is desirable.
- Valid residence within Europe or the UK.
