Lemontree Recruitment Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Newhaven.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader who is committed to delivering outstanding care, achieving positive outcomes for children and maintaining the highest safeguarding and Ofsted standards.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you'll have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, leading a dedicated team and creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

You'll work closely with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance and develop a positive culture that puts children at the heart of everything.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operation of the home.
  • Inspire, support and develop the staff team.
  • Ensure outstanding safeguarding practice at all times.
  • Maintain compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements.
  • Oversee care planning, risk management and positive outcomes for young people.
  • Build strong relationships with families, local authorities and partner agencies.
  • Lead on quality improvement and prepare for Ofsted inspections.
  • Participate in the management on-call rota.

About You

We're looking for a confident and experienced leader who is passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.

Essential

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Significant experience within children's residential care.
  • Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted frameworks.
  • Proven safeguarding and leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and people management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.

Desirable

  • Experience managing SEMH services.
  • Experience achieving positive Ofsted outcomes.
  • Experience leading service improvement or turnaround projects.
