About the Role

As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

You will provide person-centred care while promoting independence and enhancing wellbeing.

We offer flexible working hours, with full-time, part-time, day and night shifts available to help you achieve a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
  • Support safe moving and handling in accordance with care plans and training.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic care records and update care plans as required.
  • Contribute to reviews of service users' needs and report any changes in their health or wellbeing.
  • Encourage and support service users to participate in organised activities and one-to-one sessions alongside the Activities Coordinator.
  • Assist with housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Night Health Care Assistant Responsibilities In addition to the above, Night Health Care Assistants will:

  • Remain awake and on duty throughout the shift.
  • Stay on-site for the duration of the shift unless authorised otherwise.
  • Carry out regular security, safety, and wellbeing checks to ensure the comfort and protection of service users.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to any overnight care or emergency needs.
