About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a GP – Health Assessment Doctor to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care within a leading private healthcare setting. This role focuses on health screening, preventative medicine, and lifestyle-based patient care, offering a varied and engaging clinical workload without the pressures of traditional NHS general practice. You will conduct comprehensive health assessments, interpret results, and provide tailored advice, referrals, and ongoing care planning for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full primary care and health screening services in line with clinical best practice
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations (including cardiovascular, neurological, MSK, and more)
- Interpret diagnostic results including ECGs and blood tests
- Provide clear, patient-focused reports and lifestyle advice
- Manage patient pathways, including referrals and follow-ups
- Support preventative health initiatives and promote wellbeing
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to governance standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Essential Requirements
- GMC registered GP with licence to practise
- Significant experience working as a qualified GP
- Strong understanding of evidence-based medicine and clinical governance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident in performing health assessments and examinations
- IT literate with strong report-writing ability
Desirable
- Experience in health screening or preventative healthcare
- Background in private healthcare
- Experience in enhanced services (e.g. minor surgery, travel medicine, family planning)
- ALS certification (ILS essential – training can be provided)
