Overview

Summary: As the Principal Platform Architect for the Lemongrass Cloud Platform (LCP), you will lead the evolution of a modern, scalable, and intelligent front-end experience for our automation platform. This role bridges front-end development with deep platform awareness d how UI interacts with Kubernetes-based backends and cloud-native orchestration layers.

You\’ll drive innovation in how users interact with complex SAP operations through simplified, intuitive, and AI-assisted interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end architecture and technical roadmap for LCP, ensuring modular, maintainable, and scalable design.
• Build and maintain UI components and dashboards in React + TypeScript, integrating with microservices and Kubernetes-managed backends.
• Translate platform automation features into elegant workflows and UI/UX flows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with platform engineering, DevOps, and SRE teams to deliver real-time observability, workload orchestration, and self-service capabilities via the UI.
• Design and implement front-end solutions that interact directly with Kubernetes-based services (e.g., job dashboards, pod health visualization, config UIs).
• Integrate AI/ML-driven features into the UI to enable predictive or contextual automation suggestions.
• Own front-end CI/CD best practices, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to UI developers working on LCP modules.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years experience in modern front-end engineering with expert-level React & TypeScript
• Deep experience architecting UIs for cloud-native platforms
• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, resource interaction, and working with k8s-based APIs (e.g., Helm UI integration, k8s dashboards, status maps)
• Experience with microservice and container-based ecosystems
• Experience integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, authentication (OAuth2, SSO), and platform security patterns
• Strong background in component-driven development, state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, React Query), and design systems
• Familiarity with back-end services built on Kubernetes-native platforms (ArgoCD, Prometheus, Istio, etc.)
• Prior work with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) in Kubernetes-based deployment pipelines
• Experience with UI telemetry and observability (Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
• Familiarity with SAP landscape operations or enterprise automation products
• AI/ML UI/UX feature integration experience is a strong plus
• Selected applicant will be subject to a background investigation, which will be conducted and the results of which will be used in compliance with applicable law
• Please note, if chosen candidate resides in the United States, the On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $230,000 – $260,000.
